Dumfries Saints RFC Summer Rugby Camp is a fun, inclusive opportunity for young people to stay active, develop new skills, and enjoy rugby in a safe and welcoming environment over the summer holidays. The camp is designed for players of all abilities, from complete beginners to those already involved in the game. Sessions will focus on rugby skills, fun games, teamwork, confidence building, and making new friends, all delivered by enthusiastic young coaches in a supportive setting. The programme aims to increase participation in sport during the summer, provide positive activity for local children, and create lasting links into community rugby at the club.

Supported games session for neurodivergent young people. In the morning, after a warm welcome and a tour of the facilities, including our quiet room and beautiful outdoor space, in small groups we will play This or That, an active getting to know you game then Giant Jenga, Throw Throw Burrito and Colour Brain. After lunch, which will be provided, we will play an interactive game of Deal or No Deal as a whole group. All our games will encourage social skills, confidence, reasoning, listening and decision making as well as being lots of fun and accessible to all.

Supported creative session for neurodivergent young people of all abilities. In the morning, after a warm welcome and a tour of the facilities, including our quiet room and beautiful outdoor space, we will be painting positivity rocks to either take away or leave somewhere for people to find! An opportunity to express yourself and be creative! After lunch, which will be provided, we will be creating dreamcatchers using a variety of different materials. You can add whatever you like from a variety of objects whether artistic or natural materials to make it personalised and unique.

DGC Arts and Museums – Free Cinema Screenings!

This series of six free dog-themed films is being run at the Robert Burns Centre to Film Theatre to complement Gracefield Arts Centre’s summer show, A Dog’s Life, which runs from 27 June. This family friendly exhibition shows the work of international artists, designers, illustrators and photographers who use dogs as their subject matter and inspiration. Well behaved, dry dogs will be allowed in the Gallery for the first time! If you find you can’t make any of the dates please let us know so we can offer the tickets to another family.
