This summer there’s lots of fun things to do down at the Crannog: from building this year’s float for Civic Week, entering home crafts for the Stewartry show and water activities on Carlingwark Loch to 3D Printing, cooking (and eating!), music making, archery, arts, gardening and bush craft - we’ve got something for everyone!

Kelloholm fun over the summer, come and join us for Slip N Slide fun and a water fight. Learn how to DJ in our specially organised DJ Workshops for young people aged 10-14. Join us for our Kelloholm Cook off and show off your skills in the kitchen. Then join us on our exciting and long-awaited trip to Blackpool Pleasure Beach.

Free Fun activities for children and young people 5-16 years of age. Amazing Summer - Amazing Activities with Summerhill Community Centre. We have a fun packed programme with loads of events / day trips / Glamping/ sports / outdoor environmental projects. We also plan to have Water Sports and fun challenges. We aim to deliver a Summer of Play Programme of activities for children in the Kier, Penpont and Tynron areas, using the village halls, park and community garden.

Young Carers across Dumfries and Galloway who are registered with the project will have access to a fulfilled summer program, there will be opportunities such as: • Trip to Glasgow Science Centre • Trampoline Park and Lunch • Heads of Ayr • Meal Out • Fun Day - Arts and Crafts, Crazy Golf, Meal Out, Picnic • The Big Young Carers Bake Off

Pony driving for disabled children and young people – come and try an exciting, unusual sport with a professional trainer who will teach and show you how to drive a pony around a field. If you would like you can also try grooming a pony and meet the other animals who live with them. We will ask you to wear a hard hat (provided) when on the carriage with your trainer. We have carriages that are accessible if you are a wheelchair user or have poor mobility. If the weather is bad, we do pony driving in a covered arena

The RH Youth Organisation proudly presents: The Activity Day Back for its 5th year, The RH Youth Organisation Activity Day will be a FREE fun day out for the whole family! The RH Youth Organisation are delighted to be part of the Amazing Summer scheme funded by Dumfries and Galloway Council.
