We have organised a programme of sport and physical activity sessions across the region for children with a physical, learning or sensory disability to take part in. Sessions are for all abilities and will be focused on having fun and learning new skills. Sign up to any of our sessions where our coaches will be happy to lead you through the session.

Drop in to one of our Youth Cafes that are open 5 nights a week in towns and villages across Dumfries and Galloway. Lots of free activities are on offer including music workshops, sports nights, crafts, gaming or just stop by for something to eat and hang out with your friends! Free food available at every session and we are open to all young people aged 11 and over. We hope to see you there!

Amazing Summer Camps 2022! Youth Work Dumfries and Galloway are delighted to announce the return of Amazing Summer Camps for 2022! The three-day camp begins with Day 1 being spent in your local community – learning camp craft hacks, team building activities and participating in a local community project! Day 2 and 3 is an overnight residential at St Ann’s Campsite in Beattock where you are guaranteed hours of fun, games and camping capers! Sign up today if you want to learn, grow, make friends, and have eye-opening new experiences this summer! Open to young people aged 11+ The activities are completely free, and includes all meals, transport and camping equipment!

We are providing Family Activity Play Bags including books and reusable activities for play at home as well as in planned sessions in local parks for all families that we work with. This will involve STEM fun and outdoor learning.

Queen of the South Community Trust - Soccer Camps (P1-P7 & S1-S3)

An Amazing Summer membership lets young people access swimming, skating and court hire at our leisure facilities for FREE. Aged 14 years+ can also use our fitness suites. Swimming ratios & activity capacities apply. Booking advised. Memberships are prioritised to those who meet the following criteria: • Lone parent families; • Families which include a disabled adult or child; • Larger families (3 or more children); • Minority ethnic families; • Families with a child under one year old; • Families where the mother is under 25 years of age Get active and have fun with friends and family at a Council Leisure facility near you!

Over the summer break we will be hosting a variety of activities in and around Dumfries in the form of games, craft activities and minibus trips to local heritage sites.

Amazing Summer - Amazing Activities with Summerhill Community Centre. We have a fun packed programme with loads of events / day trips / Glamping/ sports / outdoor environmental projects, We also plan to have GoKarting; Bouncy inflatables and fun challenges. Cricket Coaching aimed at providing children aged 5 to 13 with a great first and continued experience in cricket. Fun skills and games with an opportunity to meet new friends and be more active. Disability Cricket sessions adapted to meet the needs of participants with an opportunity to be more active. These sessions are available for all age groups.

A free open-air cinema experience in Douglas Park. In partnership with Driftwood Cinema, we’ll have two movies showing on an LED movie screen: a 2pm film for a younger audience, and a 5pm film as well. Everyone is encouraged to bring as many chairs and blankets as they’d like, and dress up as their favourite movie characters for our fancy dress competition. Refreshments will be provided to all attendees.
