Children’s Hearing System

The Children’s Hearings System works with children and young people in Scotland under the age of eighteen who are in need of help. There are two main reasons why the Children’s Hearings System will help a child or young person: because they are in need of care or protection, or because they have got in trouble with the police. A children’s hearing is a legal meeting that young people must attend with their families or carer’s if the Children’s reporter has decided to arrange a children’s hearing.
