Massive Outpouring of Love (MOOL)

Massive Outpouring of Love (MOOL) is a humanitarian movement dedicated to helping people in need wherever they are, be that locally or across the globe; while ensuring that the human element of the situation is at the heart of all we do. The movement was born in September 2015, initially as a way to humanise the refugee crisis through writing and distributing notes of support and hope, but soon became much bigger and, before long, was sending aid, funds and human kindness all around the world. They offer support to those facing crisis or who are looking for support with housing and employment.

The Scottish Welfare Fund can give you help with things like food or heating costs if you have a crisis or need help to carry on living outside of care. There’s two types of funds you can apply for, Community Care Grants and Crisis Grants. A Community Care Grant can provide financial support for people to live independently. If you have a low income and: you’re about to leave care, hopsital or have been in prison, you face going into care because you don’t have the things you need to continue living at home, you’re struggling to provide a safe and secure home for your family, you need help to get important things like a cooker or a bed – then you can apply.
