Welcome to our Amazing Summer 2024! a fantastic array of local activity providers, staff and volunteers are working together to bring our children, young people, and families together in celebration of the summer holidays. All are welcome. Activities are FREE and we will provide packed lunches. There will be messy play therefore your Child/Young Person is advised to wear clothing and footwear that they will feel comfortable in and do not mind getting a bit messy. Please ensure your Child/Young Person can administer their own medication if required e.g. insulin/inhalers etc. We are asking for appropriate adults to complete a registration form to register their Child/Young Person prior to the start of our Activities. For details of this please look online, in the weekly KPTDT Bulletin or drop by into KPT DT Office. There is also a mystery tour which we will prioritise children/young people who commit to attending the most sessions over the entirety of the Amazing Summer Programme. Next priority will be on a first come first served basis. The grand finale in celebration of the close of our Amazing Summer will be a community party in the Gladstone Hall. Drop Off Point at the Gladstone Hall no earlier than 10:15 am and Pick-Up Point at the Gladstone Hall no later than 3:15pm. We are looking forward to sharing an Amazing Summer with YOU! (Amazing Summer supported by funding from Dumfries and Galloway’s Amazing Fund and our local Community Benefit Fund).

Kirkconnel and Kelloholm Development Trust will be running Free Session on the MUGA at Hillview aimed at children and young people aged 8 years to 16 years throughout the School Summer Holidays. Snacks will be provided for all participants.

Kirkconnel and Kelloholm Development Trust will be running a 3 day Soccer School at Nithside Park, Kirkconnel in partnership with Kello Rovers and Cumnock Juniors Enterprise aimed at children (Boys and Girls) from the Kirkconnel and Kelloholm area going into P5, P6 and P7 next session. A packed lunch will be provided each day for all participants.

Our Young Volunteers are taking over and have planned multiple events for young people in Dumfries.

With so many young people interested in sports, each week at NWCC Sports Hub, we will have tutors of varying sports leading on taster sessions to give young people free opportunities to try a new skill.

YOGA SESSIONS WITH YOGI KIDS An opportunity to come along for some quiet time and enjoy learning some basic yoga poses.

DANCE SESSIONS WITH EMMA LOUISE DANCE CLUB Come along and join in the fun of dance classes led by Emma Louise! These sessions are for all abilities.

Creetown Initiative Youth Work invites you to come along to their Summer Programme and take part in the many activities. Feel free to bring along a friend, sibling or cousin. Some of the activities includes Sports, Cooking, Arts and Crafts, Fun Days plus much more. We look forward to seeing you there 😊

We have pulled together an exciting programme of FREE activities for young people ages 11 and up across 4 towns in Annandale and Eskdale, featuring arts, sports, mocktail making, team activities and much more! Come along and get involved in the fun! Drinks and snacks will be provided at every session as a minimum.

A Super Mega Summer Family Fun Day, please come along to play socialise and get active. Live music, bouncy castle, sandpit and more. Bring along a picnic and blanket snacks will be available, ice-lollies too!
