We aim to deliver a Summer of Play Programme of activities for children in the Kier, Penpont and Tynron areas, using the village halls, park and community garden.

Young Carers across Dumfries and Galloway who are registered with the project will have access to a fulfilled summer program, there will be opportunities such as: • Trip to Glasgow Science Centre • Trampoline Park and Lunch • Heads of Ayr • Meal Out • Fun Day - Arts and Crafts, Crazy Golf, Meal Out, Picnic • The Big Young Carers Bake Off

Pony driving for disabled children and young people – come and try an exciting, unusual sport with a professional trainer who will teach and show you how to drive a pony around a field. If you would like you can also try grooming a pony and meet the other animals who live with them. We will ask you to wear a hard hat (provided) when on the carriage with your trainer. We have carriages that are accessible if you are a wheelchair user or have poor mobility. If the weather is bad, we do pony driving in a covered arena

Family Fun Day providing an afternoon of entertainment and enjoyment. We are particularly attracting young people between the ages of 5 and 16 years. It is designed for young people’s enjoyment, so you can express yourselves, compete, observe or participate at a level comfortable for you. There is a blend of activities, food, entertainment and games for your FUN. EXPERIENCE new activities such as karaoke or rodeo bull. It’s an OPPORTUNITY to meet old friends, make new friends, come together and enjoy a FREE afternoon. Come along for this morale boosting, sense of belonging and strengthen relationships. Let your voices be heard on Melbourne Park at the Fun Day.

The RH Youth Organisation proudly presents: The Activity Day Back for its 5th year, The RH Youth Organisation Activity Day will be a FREE fun day out for the whole family! The RH Youth Organisation are delighted to be part of the Amazing Summer scheme funded by Dumfries and Galloway Council.
