Supported games session for neurodivergent young people. In the morning, after a warm welcome and a tour of the facilities, including our quiet room and beautiful outdoor space, in small groups we will play This or That, an active getting to know you game then Giant Jenga, Throw Throw Burrito and Colour Brain. After lunch, which will be provided, we will play an interactive game of Deal or No Deal as a whole group. All our games will encourage social skills, confidence, reasoning, listening and decision making as well as being lots of fun and accessible to all.

Supported creative session for neurodivergent young people of all abilities. In the morning, after a warm welcome and a tour of the facilities, including our quiet room and beautiful outdoor space, we will be painting positivity rocks to either take away or leave somewhere for people to find! An opportunity to express yourself and be creative! After lunch, which will be provided, we will be creating dreamcatchers using a variety of different materials. You can add whatever you like from a variety of objects whether artistic or natural materials to make it personalised and unique.

Gretna Football Club 2008

Join our fun-filled week of football for children aged 5-15 Whether you're new to football or already love the game, there's something for everyone. Learn new skills, play exciting games, make new friends, and build your confidence in a friendly and supportive environment. Our coaches will help you improve at your own pace while having lots of fun. Lunch and snacks are provided each day, so all you need to bring is your enthusiasm and a love of being active!

Powfoot Golf Club

Come and try free golf coaching sessions at Powfoot Golf Club for children aged 8 and up. You will spend 1 hour with golf coach John Burns and 1 hour with helpful volunteers. You can learn and practise fun golf skills like driving, chipping and putting. These sessions are for everyone, whether you are brand new to golf or already play and want to get better. You can book one session or come along to more. Places will be limited to 20 children / young people per session. Transport may be available but not guaranteed.

Local Initiatives in New Galloway with New Galloway Golf Club

For four weeks this summer, New Galloway Golf Club and LING are offering golf lessons for children in the Glenkens age 8-18, funded by Dumfries and Galloway Council. The sessions will be led by Ross Murdoch, Head Assistant Professional at Dumfries and Galloway Golf Club, and no prior experience is required. All equipment will be provided as well as lunch, with each session running from 10am to 2.30pm. If you would like to sign up, then you can do so online - just make sure to sign up for each of the four dates!

You’ll get to have lots of fun on the farm, including: Spend time with our friendly goats, pigs, rabbits, ponies, sheep, cows and much loved tortoise Titus; Learn about the animal care; Take part in arts and crafts; Den build in the local woods; Walk our Shetland ponies; Have a go at pony agility.

Our five free play sessions for children aged 5+ offer fun, friendship, and exciting activities in a safe and welcoming environment. Each session includes sports such as curling, creative crafts including clay modelling and painting. Children can also enjoy free-choice play with LEGO, games, toys, and art materials in our fully equipped games hall. Healthy snacks and drinks are available throughout, and every child receives a takeaway lunch. Special activities includes 2 cinema trips to the Buccleuch Centre and an end-of-holiday soft play session. Come along and join the fun!
