Bush crafts at Drumlanrig Castle! Come along and learn essential outdoor survival skills including fire lighting, shelter building and team building exercises. Have fun and meet new people.

Join our fun-filled week of football for children aged 5-15 Whether you're new to football or already love the game, there's something for everyone. Learn new skills, play exciting games, make new friends, and build your confidence in a friendly and supportive environment. Our coaches will help you improve at your own pace while having lots of fun. Lunch and snacks are provided each day, so all you need to bring is your enthusiasm and a love of being active!

Come and try free golf coaching sessions at Powfoot Golf Club for children aged 8 and up. You will spend 1 hour with golf coach John Burns and 1 hour with helpful volunteers. You can learn and practise fun golf skills like driving, chipping and putting. These sessions are for everyone, whether you are brand new to golf or already play and want to get better. You can book one session or come along to more. Places will be limited to 20 children / young people per session. Transport may be available but not guaranteed.

For four weeks this summer, New Galloway Golf Club and LING are offering golf lessons for children in the Glenkens age 8-18, funded by Dumfries and Galloway Council. The sessions will be led by Ross Murdoch, Head Assistant Professional at Dumfries and Galloway Golf Club, and no prior experience is required. All equipment will be provided as well as lunch, with each session running from 10am to 2.30pm. If you would like to sign up, then you can do so online - just make sure to sign up for each of the four dates!

Pony driving for disabled children and young people – come and try an exciting, unusual sport with a professional trainer who will teach and show you how to drive a pony around a field. You can also try grooming a pony and meet the other animals who live with them at the stables. We will ask you to wear a hard hat (provided) when on the carriage with your trainer. We have carriages that are accessible if you are a wheelchair user or have poor mobility. If the weather is bad, we do pony driving in a covered arena.

Join our fun football camp for ages 5–18! Everyone is welcome, no matter your ability or experience. Our coaches create a safe, exciting and supportive environment where you can learn new skills, make friends and enjoy the game. You’ll take part in age appropriate activities, from fun games for younger players to skill challenges and small sided matches. Whether you’re trying football for the first time or looking to improve your game, this camp is all about having fun, staying active. A packed lunch is provided.

Taster Session for Horse Riding and Stable Skills

Do you like animals and spending time outdoors? Why not come along to our Summer on the Farm Activity Days?! You’ll get to have lots of fun on the farm, including: Spend time with our friendly goats, pigs, rabbits, ponies, sheep, cows and much loved tortoise Titus; Learn about the animal care; Take part in arts and crafts; Den build in the local woods; Walk our Shetland ponies; Have a go at pony agility.

Our five free play sessions for children aged 5+ offer fun, friendship, and exciting activities in a safe and welcoming environment. Each session includes sports such as curling, creative crafts including clay modelling and painting. Children can also enjoy free-choice play with LEGO, games, toys, and art materials in our fully equipped games hall. Healthy snacks and drinks are available throughout, and every child receives a takeaway lunch. Special activities includes 2 cinema trips to the Buccleuch Centre and an end-of-holiday soft play session. Come along and join the fun!

The RH Youth Organisation proudly presents: The Activity Day Back for its 6th year, The RH Youth Organisation Activity Day will be a FREE fun day out for the whole family on the land behind Lockerbie Ice Rink! The RH Youth Organisation are delighted to be part of the Amazing Summer scheme funded by Dumfries and Galloway Council. You will have the opportunity to take part in exciting activities like- •Take part in different outdoor activities like an obstacle course, a slackline course, blind trail, how to use axes and saws and toast marshmallows. • New for 2026- Take part in Archery for 8+ •We will be having entertainment from our Theatre Group throughout the day •We have a wide range of emergency services joining us on the day! •Lots of fun to be had on bouncy castles and slides with Potts amusements •Trailer rides around the site. Visit our craft tent! •The water slide! Slip •Feeling competitive? Have a go at our lawn games including target soft 'axe' throwing and soft archery! •Bounce around in our space hopper paddock! 🟠 All of these activities are completely free!
