Scottish Welfare Fund

The Scottish Welfare Fund can give you help with things like food or heating costs if you have a crisis or need help to carry on living outside of care. There’s two types of funds you can apply for, Community Care Grants and Crisis Grants. A Community Care Grant can provide financial support for people to live independently. If you have a low income and: you’re about to leave care, hopsital or have been in prison, you face going into care because you don’t have the things you need to continue living at home, you’re struggling to provide a safe and secure home for your family, you need help to get important things like a cooker or a bed – then you can apply.
