Join us for a fun-filled Youth Festival at Thornhill Community Centre. Enjoy tasty food from the scran van and get involved in a full day of activities. Take on the inflatable, try a range of indoor and outdoor games, or get creative with arts and crafts. Step up to our karaoke or relax in the chill zone with music and beanbags. Come along and get involved.

Free sessions available to children with ASN/Disabilities aged 4.5yrs – 18yrs. Come along and take part in some fun creative activites and join us for some exciting trips/outing.

We are delighted to bring back another exciting year of Amazing Summer youth activities during this year’s summer holidays! Our programme offers a wide range of fun, creative, and engaging activities for young people, including Candle Making Workshops, Soap Making Workshops, Mug Design Workshops, Rock Painting, Kite Making, Keyring Making, Junk Modelling, Doll Making, Mocktail Making Workshops, and Yoga Taster Sessions for Health and Wellbeing. With so many exciting activities to choose from, there is something for everyone to enjoy, learn, and get creative with this summer. We look forward to welcoming you to another fantastic season of activities!

Young Carers across Dumfries and Galloway who are registered with the project will have access to a summer program, there will be opportunities such as: • Glasgow Science Centre • Trampoline Park and Lunch • Dalscone Farm Park • Ernespie Farm • Top Golf • Young Carers Mini Festival – a day full of fun activities • BBQ/Picnic • Forest Walks, Putting/Crazy Golf

BBQ on the beach! Come along for some yummy food and fun on the beach. Music, games, laughter and make new friendships.

Pottery and Picnic in the park! Meet us at Dock the park for a summer picnic. Let your imagination run wild and get creative painting your own pottery that you can take home.

Supported games session for neurodivergent young people. In the morning, after a warm welcome and a tour of the facilities, including our quiet room and beautiful outdoor space, in small groups we will play This or That, an active getting to know you game then Giant Jenga, Throw Throw Burrito and Colour Brain. After lunch, which will be provided, we will play an interactive game of Deal or No Deal as a whole group. All our games will encourage social skills, confidence, reasoning, listening and decision making as well as being lots of fun and accessible to all.

Supported creative session for neurodivergent young people of all abilities. In the morning, after a warm welcome and a tour of the facilities, including our quiet room and beautiful outdoor space, we will be painting positivity rocks to either take away or leave somewhere for people to find! An opportunity to express yourself and be creative! After lunch, which will be provided, we will be creating dreamcatchers using a variety of different materials. You can add whatever you like from a variety of objects whether artistic or natural materials to make it personalised and unique.

This series of six free dog-themed films is being run at the Robert Burns Centre to Film Theatre to complement Gracefield Arts Centre’s summer show, A Dog’s Life, which runs from 27 June. This family friendly exhibition shows the work of international artists, designers, illustrators and photographers who use dogs as their subject matter and inspiration. Well behaved, dry dogs will be allowed in the Gallery for the first time! If you find you can’t make any of the dates please let us know so we can offer the tickets to another family.
